Evolutionary Rationale for falling in love?

I was wondering about the evolutionary purpose of falling in love or wanting one girl really badly.

Any experienced person knows that trying to target a 'oneitis' is a futile task and that the best viable option is to improve your smv and cast your net long and far and target the girls that show interest in you. Its a numbers game, you dont focus on one target. In fact it is actually harms your chances of getting a girl you specifically set out to get as it shows lack of abundance and desperation. Yet time to time again in real life and even in the movies, we see a player who constantly slays yet turns weak for one girl, which leads to failing to get with such girl. What is the rationale behind this? The purpose of falling in love for evolutionary purposes is because the girl shows good genetic potential and thus you see her as a viable mate so she can have your offspring. Why would you display unattractive behaviors to a girl (consciously or unconsciously) that shows good genetic potential for offspring(you being nervous, needy or desperate), yet show attractive behaviors to girls your body does not find as the best genetic potential for your offspring(aloofness, lack of care, abundance mentality). Is this just a flaw in our evolutionary design?

You would think your fundamentals would be a lot tighter with a girl you want more yet it appears the bodies natural disposition is to go full beta mode. Any thoughts on this?

Don't really know about evolutionary rationale, but IMO it's not that difficult - a female with great genetic predispositions is simply programmed to secure as many potential mates as possible. Nature did it through those great feelings that we call love. In times of crisis only the best of the best genes should be passed on, which at the same time means that the most attractive female should be surrounded by as many potential mates as possible....

What other mechanism than love is really there? Most guys can easily walk away from average looking girl, but most guys will have hard time to walk away from 9/10, no matter what they say...

IMO we guys simply go to Beta submissive mode so she can chose the most viable mate... Perhaps the truth (seen through Red Pill) is quite harsh... In Nature, we guys are easily replaceable, while females are much more valuable for overall survival of species...

Just my two blah in...

"What people call love is just a chemical reaction that causes animals to breed." -Rick from the cartoon Rick and Morty

Its pretty straight forward, but even though its as simple as just a bunch of chemicals telling the brain what our actions should be and even though this is how every human experiences that same feeling in our nervous system called "love", I still don't want that feeling to stop!
