Last night I was at my dining hall job and I decided to talk to the Indian chick that works the shift before me.
I say hello, we introduce ourselves and when I mention that I actually go to school here(not some weird townie) her eyes light up.
So I believe things are going well, I ask her about her job(serving food to people) then I use what I read in Mystery's book about providing feelings, I say something like this
Me: Your job is interesting, as you go throughout the day meeting so many different people. You see who is sad or happy and the differences between them all.
Something like that and she is saying"ya" and smiling the whole time.
She asks me my major, I tell her then ask her, she's computer science and I decide to try the same again...
Me: When your programming you start from nothing and slowly build it up bit by bit, hammering out the bugs until you've finished something really cool and it's so satisfying.
I say something like that(I can't remember the exact words and It needs improvement too) but she is nodding and agreeing the entire time. Then I make a joke about programmers banging their heads against walls because, well programming.
So in my head I'm like, this is going great! Time to get the number <lol
Bad idea. I say we should grab coffee sometime and she agrees, I then ask "How do I keep in touch with you?"
She asks do I have facebook. I know that this usually means it sucks.
Should I just go along with it or it doesn't really matter since it's fucked anyway?
I say "aaaah sure", she understands and it gets kind of awkward when she pulls out her phone. I give her my number. We banter a little bit more about her shitty android phone. Afterwards I have a feeling it's done and I was right, never got a text.
I think I need to add stories(build attraction), negs/false disqualifiers(show funny disinterest into my interactions next. Then I'll start seeing some awesome results.
