Hello GC community!
I've been thinking about street stops lately, due to some direct feedback indicating that I need to hone some of these techniques.
In the past, I used to get ticked off at myself if I missed opening a girl who walked past me. Needless to say, I was being unnecessarily hard on myself because there are many pretty girls and they frequently walk too fast for me to even notice them.
Recently, I've Successfully used a technique where I actually run after a girl, get ahead of her and stop her in her tracks. I like this because it is very masculine and gives me an energy boost. So I no longer really need to worry about missing girls who pass me by. If I find them attractive enough, then why not turn around and run after them a bit?
Howeve, it doesn't seem smooth to rely on running after girls to open them. I realized that I still have trouble getting the girl who I do notice ahead of time to stop if she's walking towards me. Usually, by the time she recognizes that I want to speak with her, I'm no longer in her way. Rather, we're standing side to side from each other. She's instinctively less committed, and more likely to start walking off.
I have not had good experiences walking along with girls, even if I'm heading in the same direction.
Please share field-tested techniques on this type of opening. If your suggestion is to speak louder, how do I avoid coming across as some crazed lunatic who's talking to a woman/crowd that's still 20 meters away?
