First date: Holding hands while walking?

Hey guys, I was wondering about something I read someplace. They advice that on the first date you should set the tone of a romantic meetup. Be clear about that: you are not just a friend guy. Of course this is obvious. There's one thing they advice to do at the beginning of the date and I would love your opinions.

They said that once you meet up with her you should give a good kiss, maybe touch her arms while doing this, compliment her on her look, basic stuff really. But then, they said you should grab her hand and walk. Or put your arm around her (I guess over shoulders, not waist).

What do you think about this? Is holding hands too boyfriend-girlfriend? How about arm over shoulder? over waist? Maybe is better not to do anything like this and just walk (and start any type of escalation, if you decide so, in the place you go)?

Way to boyfriendy for me. Touch is important but I like to do it during conversation, escalation.

In my opinion walking with her holding hands, or arm over shoulder or waist or whatever just sets the wrong tone. I think your probably just better off not doing it.

Holding her hand whilst Leading here somewhere is absolutely powerful, and I recommend it on first dates.
You're not holding her hand forever, only do so when Leading.
Examples are when you lead her to the next destination whilst walking on a busy street.
Or Leading a girl on the dance floor, as it can be crowded.

In fact, I did that just the the other weekend. Met up first time with a girl I've been texting, led her from the bar to the club. She got intimate with me straight away at the club.
