First Date Questions

Got a date this Friday at 7pm. I'm meeting the girl at a bar/restaurant on a college campus nearby, then might bar hop a little bit. Got a few questions...

What are some ideas to get her back to my place on a Friday night? Watching a movie is all I can think of... and nightcap won't sound right cause it'll be too early...

The bar is about a 5 minute drive from my house. Does it make a difference if I drive or take a cab in terms of bringing her back to my place? I like drinking (I'm assuming she will take public transportation to our date and not have a car)

How do you guys feel about sitting next to a girl in a booth instead of across the table? I met her on the dance floor at a bar and we were all over each other so I'm thinkin' it might work well.

Background info: The night I met her I moved her around a lot and she seemed to really like me. We kissed a few times, and I waited till the very end of the night to ask her to come back to my place and she said no. (I know now I should have asked at the peak of her excitement). She texted me after I left though.

i'm gonna weigh in here even though i'm far from an expert and there are no doubt better qualified people around to answer your questions. but, it's friday already so let's get ready

in order-

Q1- any excuse will do! if she's into you and you show intent early in the interaction then it will hardly matter what reason you give. if she's into you she'll go. nightcap is fine. suggest you save some $$. tv show is also fine. use a yes ladder. eg we're having a good time, yes? i'd like to continue this night, wouldn't you? i've got some vodka (or whatever) up at my place let's save some money.etc

you could also have something you'd like to show her. seeded earlier in the date. something you wrote. pics you drew. photos of that time you did ____ in _________
so - we're having a good time, yes? i'd like to continue this night, wouldn't you? my place is just around the corner. you should come up and check out my （thing that i told you about earlier)

Q2 driving would be better but with these short distances it shouldn't matter too much. i would aim for 1 drink in 3 places ( or even 2) that should be enough. 3 venues, starting furthest from your place and ending nearest. you don't want either of you to be sloppy drunk

Q3- booth is better than face to face. another suggestion would be bar-stools


just remember to sex up the date right from the start. she 's meeting you for a reason. you're a man, she's a woman. go blow her mind.


oh yeah, and one thing i've really started to notice lately is this: if you're prepared for everything then anything can happen. make sure your place is neat, fridge is stocked, bed is made, condoms are easily within reach etc etc. if something is off you can subconsciously screw yourself. if everything is shipshape your subconscious will let her hair down and let you go to town.
