Hey guys! Recently been observing that I am not able to keep an exact calm state for a long time. It happens as if when ierform well in any area suddenly i start to become more positive.

But as soon as i dont do well i feel like negative energy just starts to flow and i become a little depressed.
I have read ricardus's post regarding mantaining states.

But still how do i maintain that X factor type state for a longtime regardless of outcome rather than this frequently changing unstable state?

I feel exactly the same way. I think it has to do with testosterone as discussed in the article about becoming more dominant. Every time you feel like you "win" something, you get a testosterone boost and your mood/state elates with it. Conversely, every time you "fail" at something, you lose a bit of testosterone. It's the winner effect.

There are two ways you can raise your state if you need that extra shot of testosterone. First, try winning at all the small things you can find. Tick it as a "win" in your mind. It can be anything; from something unrelated to game, to a sexy glance you threw a cute girl. Second, picture in your mind your most victorious moments with women and recreate them in your mind vividly. What past successes can you draw on as inspiration for your current goal? First time you got a number, maybe?
