My girlfriend and I have been dating for about a year. She is crazy about me and we have a great relationship. I perform in a band and today on the phone my friend asked me to text him my girlfriend's number. Normally, I don't feel insecure, but this seems strange to me. While me and my girlfriend are friends with him and his wife, I don't see why he needs her number. He is an attractive guy who is married, but still likes to flirt with girls. Should I be worried about giving him my girlfriend' number? Or is not giving it mate-guarding and lame?

Well, if he's a good friend, then you really shouldn't be worried about giving him your girlfriend's phone number. However, if it were me, the conversation would probably go like this:
Assuming your girlfriend is very much in love with you, I don't think you have anything to worry about here.
If the guy isn't really a close friend or someone you and your girlfriend see often, you can also either ignore his request or say that your girlfriend isn't fond of you just giving out her number and that he'll have to ask her himself next time he sees her.
Never feel threatened by friends. If you're doing your job well with your girlfriend, then she'll have no interest in anyone but you. =)

I guess I'm just feeling insecure because he's a charming guy. I was reading on other websites where people say that girls cheating on you starts with them being friends with other guys. But then, I know she's crazy about me and she's always saying that we're soul mates. So I guess I'll just send him her number and not worry about it.
