Lately most if not all the bars in my area are starting to convert from what use to be “dive” bars to sit down restaurants with fancy drinks.

Which I don’t mind and I don’t blame, I believe this is because of how hooped a lot of these bars are financially and are trying to move from a one trick pony type of place.

However there is a slight problem for going to these types of establishments.

1) Freedom of movement, can’t go up to tables and start chatting.
2) Reservation culture makes it so bar hopping etc….. Is tough with these places.

Usually when I’m out I aim for a pull at the first establishment where I then bounce to the next establishment where I then pull to my place.

Where this gets tricky is if I reserve a table and don’t manage to pull from the first establishment to the second establishment I’ll get rebuked because I make the reservation for two and instead I’m just a one guy showing up.

Even though that isn’t a big deal, I do it enough times as a regular and they might get pissed.

Im wondering if anybody else has been seeing this issue in the cities?

Think you got no replies as sit down restaurants are just not good venues to game.

They give off “provider” vibes on a date & have the cons that you already shared.

With that said you can:

Find replacement venues or

1) Reserve a spot at the bar section of a restaurant or specially request “drinks only” in your booking. Then go on many 1st dates at the same venue where you’ll naturally gain attention. Build a relationship with the waiter / manager (helps if they’re guys) then you’ll soon be able to get walks ins “just because it’s you”

2) Repeat step 1 at all the restaurants (you like) near you. Then gain the ability to “bar hop”

The only way to pull off the restaurant pull with any consistency is to go in with a group of cool people, be the loudest ones having the most fun conversations and pull groups of 2 or 3 girls into your group.
