Girl asked me out, should I say yes?

This girl I have known for a little while from my social circle just asked me out over text to go to her company Christmas party. I am interested in her and was planning on asking her out sometime, but I am hesitant to say yes to this. It's my birthday that day, so I told her I'm not sure I might be getting together with family for my birthday and that I'd let her know, which is true. I am hesitant to go because it's a party and there is lots that can go wrong there, being around her coworkers and everything. However, I also don't want to turn her down and miss a window that I may not get again by not rewarding her for asking me out. What do you guys think?

Be with your family. There are things more important than girls in your life. I would feel guilty if i went to see this girl at the expense of my family.

I think a date would be more strategic because you don't have to navigate social situations, which you most likely would at this company party. Save yourself some effort and Just go on a date another time where it's Just you two.

I would personally avoid the party and try to set something up for a later date as she sounded interested in you

Reschedule the date

1. Less distractions

2.Two you don't have to bother about social standings (winning over her friends)

3.Probably going to make it harder for you to take her to bed (more ties and connections)
