I arrive at this flat party. I'm completely sober and not interested in going out to the club after this party. However I still come just to socialize with a few people since the flat is one level above me. So I talk to a a few people then i sit next to my friend. However I don't realize that by sitting next to my friend I am now right next to this pretty girl. At first she her back is turned to me as she talks to a couple of her guy friends. So I just sit and chill with open body language and listen in to their conversation. Now I don't know how i approached her. I think I heard something in the conversation that I could relate to (and so I naturally joined the conversation) or if she turned and opened me. Either way me and this girl were now talking. She was tipsy, not wasted but definitely not sober. We were talking about stuff, well, she was talking, I was just listening and trying on sexy body language (so smile, eye contact and voice). Eventually her body was turned towards mine and I responded as well by turning my body towards her. She was now leaning in a lot towards me when she spoke. And I used incidental touch when i spoke back to her. In other words, she was into me. I wanted to make something out of this but I didn't know what to do. Our conversation and our circle broke. However after 5-10 minutes she opened me again. Same deal. Her leaning in, showing interest etc.
Now I wanted to take her home but was unsure how to transition. I think I had three options:
1. Change my plan of not going to the club and instead go to the club with her. Here I could really build up anticipation using the dance floor then move her to a seat in the club or back to my place.
2. Use a barrier. So say something like, "it's such a shame your going out and i'm not, I really wanted to get to know you better." And this would be said with a very sexy voice, possibly bedroom eyes etc.
3. Invite her directly back to mine.
The reason I didn't do any of these was first, i'm not battle hardened yet. When i'm in the field, things still slip my mind.
Second was because we had only talked. I hadn't used enough touch or chase frames so I thought that if i'd asked her to come home with me, it would be too big a jump in the amount of investment she had given me
Third, she was among her friends. They weren't around her but they would definitely notice her if she left with me.
So I really had no idea what to do and so I politely ended the interaction. I could she that she was somewhat disappointing in the result. I think that's the most frustrating thing when you are in-between beginner and intermediate in seduction; missing opportunities by inaction.
So what was the right move and why? What were the downsides of the 3 options i listed? Where there more options? Should I have grabbed her facebook or number?
