Lots of approaches today, but only one confirmed number close. I also hit on a girl that I had hit on at the same fair about three weeks ago... And later that night, I ended up hitting on her friend... The first girl came over, and I framed her as being a good sport and was cool to everyone in the group, but I don't think anything is gonna come of this but a good story to tell my friends. Anyway, according the girl I DID legitimately number close, I had been hitting on the girl while she was on her in front of her girlfriend on their 2 year anniversary date.
The interaction itself isn't worth posting because it bears incredible resemblance to the last five-hundred some that I've been having... Open with "Alright, give me a compliment opener," ask her what she likes to do, banter back and forth with her and her friend every once and a while, ask if she likes coffee, pretend to predict her favorite kind with an extremely well liked drink, invite her to coffee, grab number, yada yada yada... Nothing special here.
What I did find interesting was the text conversation we had later when she tried to frame her and her friend as girlfriend and girlfriend, only to act disappointed when I said I couldn't be in a relationship.
Me: "Hey Abby, it's AP
What's up?"
Her: "Sharing a slushie with my girlfriend"
Me: "I'm tagging along with my friend to walmart as compensation for being an ass... Lmao I hate that place"
Her: "Omg I met my girlfriend there!"
Me: "Really? I suppose you walked up to her randomly as well"
Her: "I most certainly did and we've been together ever since"
Me: "Hahaha well for someone who's going out with you your girlfriend's a very good sport"
Her: "She thought it was funny that a guy was hitting on me"
Me: "Lmao well for real now, are you two really going out, or are you just playing around? Because now I can't tell haha"
Her: "We were on our two year anniversary date"
Me: "Ohh okay lmao that's cute congrats"
Me: "In that case though, you and her should come hang out with my friends and me when I get back from morris... I'll make an exception this time and buy you both something from caribou for hitting on you in front of her" (For being in a relationship with a girl, not liking dick enough, but being totally cool with me hitting on thee anyway, I now dub thee Wingwoman Abby. All rise...)
Her: "Really? That's so sweet! Thank you"
Me: "Only because both of you were cool but if you hang out with me, you have to tolerate me randomly disappearing every once and a while lol"
Her: "Why's that?"
Me: "Because I'm a mega attention whore and walk off randomly to talk to total strangers lol... But you'll still have her and my friends to talk to when I do that"
Her: "Oh haha would you have done that if it was just us?"
Me: "Depends... If you didn't have a girlfriend and we were on a date, you'd have my full undivided attention if we went as friends, probably unless you explicitly tell me you aren't cool with it... In a group, I'll do it no matter what."
Her: "Well are you looking for a relationship or just fun?"
Me: "Well that depends... What kind of fun are we talking about? Lmao I'm not opposed to relationships, but it'd be difficult to manage one now considering I'm going away to morris for college very soon."
Her: "Oh I see"
Me: "Why do you ask?"
Her: "Wondering why you came up to me"
Me: "I already told you why attractive girl plus attention whore equals spontaneous conversation lol... But you've got a girlfriend anyway, so we'd be better off as just friends."
Her: "Yeah haha"
Me: "Well, I've gotta go to bed. Hope you guys had an awesome date night let me know what your girlfriend's favorite drink is so that I can grab one for both of you when we hang out. Night "
Her: "Thank you, good night"
Note how Abby's tone shifts as soon as I state that I'm not in a position to be in a relationship with her. This leads me to suspect that she wasn't actually dating that other girl and would have told me so had she liked my answer better... But how do you answer a question like that? "Well are you looking for a relationship, or just fun?" I am going away for college, and I am not in a position to be in a relationship.... At the same time, if I just answered that I wanted a one night stand, that'd have been way too direct.
How would you guys have answered that? Once again, I'd greatly appreciate any response
