Just came home from a bar. Here’s how it went down.

Its 1 in the morning and the bar is closing. A girl comes from the bathroom, stops by our table (we were sitting right by the door - everyone is drinking outside, corona) and says:

hb6/7: what was I looking for
friend: (in a joke) you were looking for jimmy (fake name of course)
jimmy: what? (genuinely doesn’t know what is going on)
hb6/7: no im not looking for jimmy, who’s jimmy
friend: you were looking for jimmy and you found him (gestures towards jimmy)
hb6/7 is now biting her lip
jimmy: what is going on
hb6/7: oh yeah, jimmy! there’s an after party at my place, care to join?
jimmy: sure, why not?

... and they leave. We had no clue what just happened. I’m curious if it would be me or the friend if it would be the other way around.

Some background on Jimmy. He has 30 lc or something. He’s been told he looks like Timothée Chalamet. When he pulls, or rather, the girl pulls him, he’s always smashed drunk or on coke. One time he even wanted to finish cleaning up the toilet in which he just puked while the girl wanted to pull him. He has some game, but in this instances he literary does nothing.

He was texting me after that, wtf i’m getting laid like he thought he was actually going to an after party.

I don’t know if this is a question or a statement, I’m just shocked. Probably is just the booze or the girl being horny af. Haven’t seen anything like it before (or read) and wanted to share it with you. If anybody has any input, that would be great.

-Your friend hooked them up by open situational, creative, playful (i open like this a lot)

- One of the best places to pick up is close to the bathroom...

He’s good looking and tall, but definitely not model good looking. Nonchalant, sometimes self destructive vibe mixed with a child like naivety or innocence which is what I think the girls get attracted to.

A big part of hooking up is staying awake until the very end of the night.
Depending on how conservative are the people where you live, sometimes a small number of girls will get on the hunt at the very end once they are drunk and horny and their friends are starting to leave.
I guess it helps if you look like good for nothing but fucking.

Girls (especially mid-range girls on the looks scale) will be pretty aggressive with guys late at night when horny, especially (though not always) if they think those guys look shy or not super aggressive (so they assume they need to do things themselves).

I was working late at a bar a few weeks ago (there's a little bar I like with a nice atmosphere, and I will often just take my laptop and go work there after the cafés close) and most of the crowd had left. A rather average girl was the last patron other than me there... she tried chatting up the bartender a bit, then wandered back outside. Bartender and I both thought she was leaving. Instead she hung around until a lone guy walked by, asked him for a light, then got him to go back into the bar with her and they got drinks. Guy was slightly chubby and otherwise about as average as the girl.

Bartender came over to talk to me and we both agreed the girl was this guy's to lay if he wanted it. They talked for maybe an hour, then the guy went to the bathroom, paid his tab, and left. He apparently did not want it (only had 1 or 2 drinks and it was a weeknight... girl was not ugly, but she was definitely as average as they come). Girl stayed a few more minutes then used the bathroom and left as well.

I have had girls run pickups like this on me (though none particularly fetching). I watched @Carousel get picked up by a girl this way in a bar a few years back... I believe she opened him, IIRC, and she basically ran the whole pickup, which was fairly quick, and then she pulled him to her place.

This is a thing that happens -- it is not super common (I have seen it only intermittently over the years) -- but it will occur.
