Online & Apps Girls turned off by guys into metal?

Hey guys, been on POF recently and got talking to a really cute girl recently. She messaged me first so I know she was really interested. But then as soon as she asked me what music I'm into and I told I liked metal she hasnt replied. Here's the convo:

Girl: Hey, you seem really cool, musical which is good I love music and am musical too haha
Me: Hey you seem pretty cool too, good to bump into another music lover what kind of music are you into? are you in a band too?
Girl: I love all kinds but my favourite has to be country/folk/blues. I am in a little band and also sing solo and in a duo my idols are john Mayer and lady antebellum. How about yourself? X
Me: Thats nice My favourite is rock/metal but I love lots of other kinds of music too, jazz, fusion, old school funk/soul/disco, classical. Cool to see you like travelling as well, any nice places you'd like to go to in the near future?

No reply. Did the fact I told her I like metal turn her off? Maybe I should have kept it a secret but then once she knows me in person then I can tell her I like it as it would prevent her from judging me or putting wrong labels on me before she's met me (as I know metal has a bad general reputation amongst non metal fans)? What do you guys think? Or maybe it's my online game that's the problem?

Some women are just gonna disappear once there is a particular that you like but she doesn't. Given example, there are girls i met in events and they kind of just don't give me the chance to talk to them. It's like talking to some investment company that doesn't want to do anything with you.

It's a clash of interest.

Some women are just gonna draw that line with you (even when you haven't open your mouth yet), and sometimes their lines are as big as those lining at the traffic light!

There could be a number of reasons.

But without going too deep; your reply was longer than hers and you revealed a lot. Let her peel away your layers, she will appreciate it. Also you moved on from a topic she seemed very interested in... Music and her band. Deep dive that shit! Especially since you like that topic too.

"I'm a metalhead for sure, but you can catch me listening to anything... You're band sounds cool, you guys ever go on the road?"

or sexual is always exciting...

"Mostly a metalhead, which is hard on the neck with all the head banging, you know. How's your neck massage skills?

You might be able to come up with a better sexual remark than that, but you get the idea.
