i thought i just hopped in to let you guys know this site is not just about taking girls to bed. in fact its a lesser application, all stuff written can be used for negotiations (and sales) in general. i noticed this back in the days when i was reading the articles that it was hardcore diplomacy/sales bootcamp but now that im in the process of renegotiating my expiring employment contract / termination package with a pretty though company i find myself seeing patterns that look almost like talking girls pants off and im using techniques i saw here and they use some too. (no advertisment intended)
we are currently playing a very similar chessgame to we being both flaky girls AND flaky guys. the other negotiation technique we both use is similar to the current russia-ukraine-eu-usa crisis script where parties make steps ranging from small calculated moves which are seemingly meaningless but they try to pressure on each other through this while trying to wear down each others nerves to really bold ones (like me resigning).
things that are really helpful:
- texting, all texting strategies here are super useful and they use the same tactics (email and text too)
- the latest "throwing the ball in their court" article by chase, in fact this prompted me to write this "report"
- pressure sales techniques scattered all around
- how to deal with flakes
- patience and persistence
- not being afraid to make bold steps but being able to be perfectly fine walking away AFTER all options are exhausted
- using subtle communication to get through messages without being blatantly obvious
- second level thinking and empathy something this site is a big advocate of - trying to learn about the true motives and emotion of the people you are dealing with
im sure there is more but these are the most important ones i can identify right now
maybe chase should launch a business negotiation-centric site because i do think he is very talented in this stuff.
