Giving more than receiving. (numbers)

I don't see a thread for this, and it feels like this is a trivial problem. I find myself very much so GIVING out my number than asking for and RECEIVING numbers. The effectiveness isn't so high, the ones that do call (which has been about 25%) show immediate interest, the ratio is so low though that picking off of the 4 out of 16 girls I have given my number to in the last 2 weeks I think i'll only be able to secure one interest.

I want to believe giving out your number works! I want to believe giving out your number doesn't work! It has been effective, but it hasn't nearly been efficient. I don't know how to break the habit, or if there's a more solid approach to giving out your number. The struggle is real.

Giving out your phone number is a losing proposition for the most part. Girls generally get too nervous to contact you, so you're going to lose more girls than you'll gain. The ones that do contact you will more than likely be interested, but that also means you could have asked for their number and they would have likely responded.

I would definitely ask for numbers.
