Met some girl on a university campus who was into me, but I messed it up for a few reasons. Conversation is down below, here's my thoughts:
She practically qualifies herself to me as being smart right off the bat. Then I try screen her for "studiousness" in order to try to get her to qualify herself. This was a mistake in hindsight. At the time, I didn't realize she had already qualified herself to me, and that her qualifying to me a second time was going to raise my value and lower my attainability too much. Anyways, she knows this and disqualifies herself to my screen. My attainability gets sent into a sweet spot, and she starts hitting on me.
The rest of the conversation my attainability was fluctuating - but I ended up in "no challenge" land. I was simply not doing a good job at listening - I tried to qualify her based on what she does for fun, but she kept disqualifying herself to these screens. Choosing to qualify her based on what she does for fun was a bad idea. she is clearly a hard working girl with ambition. so I should have screened her and qualified her based on that.
She screens me for ambition, and I qualify myself to her. My attainability is dropping now! Finally, after her screens, I try to qualify her based on what she does in her free time - she deflects, several times, and I'm done for. Sure, she was attracted but I didn't "get it" which turned her off, and me qualifying to her made her higher status than me, which is why she kept resisting with "maybes" using an "I'm in charge" vocal tone. So ya, i got played lol
she wants to trade social media but I'm firm - number or nothing. she ends up giving me it.

fog: oh ya? what are you in school for?
girl: medical physics
fog: you have to be very studious to do that. not many people can handle it.
girl: I’m going to drop out!
fog: i believe in you - you can do it!
girl: haha youre funny
fog: whats your name?
girl: charlotte
fog: charlotte...
girl: whats yours?
fog: fog
girl: do you go here?
fog: no i graduated from here last year.
girl: oh what do you do for work now?
fog: i work for nasa
girl: lol ya right
fog: mcdonalds. haha im kidding.
girl: i knew you were kidding. youre funny!
fog: youre pretty cute yourself
girl: youre cute too
girl: so what year are you then?
fog: I graduated. I don't think you were listening.
girl: I couldn't tell because of your jokes. what did you take when you were here?
fog: marketing
girl: how long was your program?
fog: two years. it was enough to get a nice taste.
girl: [laughs] so what do you wanna do with your life
fog: i want to do the best I possibly can.
girl: in your career?
fog: no just in everything.
fog: so when youre not studying, what do you do for fun?
girl: i work at the dental office right behind me here. you should come visit me sometime
fog: well i was gonna say we should go for a drink.
girl: maybe. I’m so busy with school and studying and everything.
fog: alright just throw your number in my phone and we can set something up for later.
