Hairstylist: makes sense for few, short hair?

As in the subject: Does it make sense to go to a hairdresser when you're balding and keep your hair very short -less than 1cm- and have a trimmer at home?

I would say to just vin diesel it and shave it all off. That's what neil strauss did.
I used to have very long hair, I thought I looked good. But then I said fuck it and got it cut very short. And you know what? I look and feel much more confident. I look refined now. Hope the advice helped.

Thanks, I've taken that into consideration, gave it a try but I didn't much like the shape of my head shaved though I didn't get much feedback for that except for my parents .
For some people balding is a huge issue, it wasn't that much so for me, but I've put hair transplant in the cards anyway.

Back to the hairdresser, what could he add to such a simple haircut that I myself couldn't do at home?

Hmmm the hair seem to be the same length the whole head over.. ?

So I suppose that's something you can do at home as well?
