Hey guys,

Just wondering what more experienced people (20+ lays) have with Herpes.

I know condom use will prevent almost all fluid based STDs, but herpes is transferred from skin-on-skin contact. So even with a condom it can still be transferred.

I think I'm more worried about Type 1 (cold sores), as I do like to kiss girls a lot (even though I always do a closed mouth kiss...looks like that won't protect me). I just don't want to be the guy with cold sores.

I've only seen two girls in my life with cold sores...and they were both coming on to me (got the heck out of there, ha).

Chase has a pretty good response about STDs in his comment section (look for "Avoiding STDs") of this article, but he seems to be talking about type 2:
https://www.girlschase.com/content/you-really-should-be-having-sex

Since kissing (once you get them back at your place) seems to be part of GirlsChase.com strategy, does anyone have experience in avoiding type 1 infections?

So far I've heard about Coconut oil, Pjur Med, and Carrageenan based lubricants.

Thanks,
M

I just wanted to add this to the debate:
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/04/03/shaving-pubic-hair.aspx

I know Chase talked about using carrageenan and how it was more effective than condoms (85% vs. 70%) for genital herpes. I believe this is due to viruses being transferred by skin-on-skin contact. Since the condom only covers just your main member and not the rest of your pubic area, there is still skin-to-skin contact where the virus can get transferred. I assume the carrageenan just gets everywhere and kills any virus that might have even been transferred before it can infect you.

So pubic hair would help to lower skin-on-skin contact and thus lower the chance of transferring STDs.

Here is some other information about carrageenan. It is more about whether you should consume it or not:
