High partner count clinginess

I’ve noticed that girls with relatively high partner counts get either clingy or cold with men.

Im currently dating a girl who’s had 13 partners (most in college) which isn’t super high but also not low. Shes been cheated on and ghosted a few times. She’s very clingy/needy and is always afraid that I’ll dump her or cheat on her.

I was wondering what makes girls so clingy/attached after having a relatively high partner count?

This is a great question, and something I've noticed myself. Would love to know a vet's perspective on this.

1-Low self esteem. If the high partner counts involved a lot of pump and dump , she would feel worthless and she would be clingy .

2- if she is a player , she is experienced, she will do clingy staff . Same like a mall player might persist and come off as needy .
She knows the drill and she have seen a lot so she doesn’t really care that much . She doesn’t think before she texts ,... etc
