Hopped on Hinge (a dating app) the other day and quickly scheduled a date with a girl today (same day). She could only meet at 6pm, but had to meet a friend at 8pm. Even though I knew the 8pm thing was probably another date, I didn't care because I wasnt doing anything that day anyway, so better than nothing.
My plan was for us to meet outside of a subway station in the city and walk to an ice cream store. However, she wound up being late and said we should just meet at the store. I agreed begrudgingly, but she apologized profusely via text.
She arrives and is wearing a low-cut black dress. She's definitely on the hotter side, has a great personality, and was a dentist. Overall she was "a catch". In retrospect, this probably led me to not escalating as much and being more risk-averse during our date.
While outside the ice cream store I realize that I don't want ice cream, so I say we should walk to this Mexican restaurant down the street for some margaritas. We chat about our days along the way and the vibe gets very fun/teasing. We're laughing a lot but Im a long way away from setting a sexual vibe (its broad daylight).
We get to the restaurant and grab a table outside. We chat about our families and childhood. I make sure she does most of the talking, which winds up being natural because I am genuinely interested in her. I think I did a good job deep diving because she tells me "I feel like you know everything about me!"
The date feels very fun/flirty but towards the end she starts shit-testing me. She tries to tell me that I was "a little bossy over text" and how I "seem like kind of a weird guy" in person. It feels worse, but I know shit-tests are a sign of interest on her part, otherwise she wouldn't bother testing me. I mostly just ignore these types of questions with an eye roll and a "really?..." face.
Its close to 8pm so I ask for the check and we wind up splitting the bill. While waiting for the check I ask what her week looks like to set up a second date since this one was only an hour. She says she's free in 2 days, so we tentatively schedule a coffee date for that time.
Analysis
Since this girl was hot I definitely think I took fewer risks in the form of not escalating sexually. I would really like for our next to allow for the opportunity for sex, but I work nights this coming week, so I can only meet in the evening for a couple of hours before heading to work...
Any suggestions for getting lays while working nights?
As for my game, I need to work on setting a sexual frame while paying more attention to escalating physically.
