Prior to the first date she was super flirty, I caught her glancing at me a lot, giving off lots of signals whether she was aware or not that she was interested. First date happens, all the investment was on her (she came to my place), we hook up, I'm feeling pretty good about everything afterwards. Few days later I text her asking her out for date #2, and she apologetically said she was incredibly busy for awhile (which I later confirmed as true, she is incredibly busy).
I told her jokingly that I was busy too, and that we should hang out again soon, and she hasn't responded for like a week.
Normally I'd be like...okay maybe she didn't think date 1 went as well as I thought...time to move on...but the thing is I see this girl almost every day in social circle (they have no idea we hooked up) and she's still flirty/glancing at me/acting like she likes me. Over the weekend on a night out with our social circle she basically followed me around until everyone else had left...so it was just us alone (her friend also left and insisted that she would go home alone, leaving us together). I put my arm around her and we walk around talking, but then when I finally was like hey let's go watch some TV at my place she declined. That confused me but I just casually implied she was missing out on some fun and wished her goodnight. Not sure why you would hang around me forever to then not come to my place. Some kind of last minute resistance?
So is going totally dark on the second date proposal text some kind of extended hard to get strategy on her part, or is she just a giant tease? My instincts tell me to just wait it out...I can't tell whether I should call this a loss and move on, or whether I should text again (I feel like that's chasing though).
I will be seeing her again this weekend when my social circle goes out...assuming she still doesn't text me, should I try for something to happen again or pull back?
Need a more neutral perspective,
