Hot To Me But Just All Right To You

Have been busy with school and a few projects of mine, but wanted to post briefly about something sort of interesting I observed. I’m not sure that what I observed is definitive or precise in any depth but I just found it interesting.

I have a friend who is a natural and we are about the same level at game count wise and ability wise.

Sometimes we’ll look at girls that either of us are dating or look at random girls on the street or girls that we’ve slept with in the past and comment about the girls to each other.

I’ve noticed that my friend and I will generally agree about which girls are just base line cute. “Yeah she’s good looking she’s attractive”; we’ll have an agreement on which girls we would do but that aren’t exceptionally transcendentally beautiful or anything like that.

On the other hand, when it comes to the girls that we think are really freaking good looking (like more on the beautiful side than just cute or pretty good looking): on those girls we are often much more subjective and split apart in our tastes.

My friend will think some girls are really amazing looking and I’ll think that they are just all right (and vice versa). Often also we’ll spot a pair of girls or be talking to a pair of girls and I’ll think one is hotter and he’ll think the other is hotter.

When it comes to which girls are cute or doable there is general consensus between us, as well as a “oh yeah, I’ve had a history with her but good luck if you get to fuck her bro!” agreement. But it’s been becoming evident to me (I suppose you can see this from the dream fuck thread on the off topic board) that this topic of “girls that appeal most to a guy” can be quite subjective. Interesting that it's that way.

What are others’ thoughts on this?

I remember hearing that girls can smell differences in genes and are most attracted to those complementing to her own. Perhaps it's all biological and your preferences might align more with your friend if he shared your exact ethnicity (and perhaps even cultural upbringing such as some idealizing the blonde/blue-eyed).

I always thought that those real chubby girls with super skinny men were both just victims of having so little options, but perhaps they're just trying to equalize their genes into an average size hahahaha it's just a full-baked theory!

Still, I do find that I'm into girls with beautiful skin over other qualities as I'm prone to some normal but less than ideal issues.

Perhaps you're also subconsciously screening for mental traits; for example, you might like bookworm-looking girls if intelligence is attractive to you. This is also just a guess but I'm just saying that the reasons could be very deeply tied into what qualities your brain feels complement yours best to balance strengths and weaknesses in finding the best chances at helping your genes survive into the future.

I'm not really sure exactly what your question in here (to a certain extent), but if you're wondering whether or not guys have different tastes for their "dream" girls (or high caliber girls), then the answer is "yes." It really depends on the individual and his personal tastes, and those personal tastes can be affected by upbringing, friends, family, past relationships, etc.

I've found past (good) relationships to be the most potent for transforming what you find desirable. For example, I never really thought much about girls with "librarian" glasses, but I ended up dating this sizzling hot girl who wore them all the time, and I associated everything about her with "sexiness." I noticed after we stopped dating, I suddenly found women who wore the "secretary/librarian" glasses to be profoundly attractive, and it would boost my sex drive ten-fold when I saw a girl like that. This didn't happen before I dated the girl.

So yeah, I'm not really surprised anymore when a guy finds certain women very attractive that I don't -- occasionally I'll even have friends who will find women attractive that I probably wouldn't even look twice at, and these days it just kind of makes me laugh (at the thought that guys can have such different taste in women).
