How are you guys so active?

I wish I can be more active on here but if I stay at my screen for long periods of time, my eyes start to hurt. And I'm on an iPad. (also doesn't help that I have to get close to read the words.)

Some of you all seem like family now, like you've been through it all together. And I think that's a key factor of improving vastly in this skill. It's having a group of supportive individuals that you come back to everyday who share similar interests and etc with you.
I didn't realize how connected everybody was until I saw a post while browsing about Zphinx and Tool leaving.
I normally do not browse everywhere on here and I mainly stay in the "field reports" and journals sections there.
I'm kind of happy I sat around browsing today because I found some really great (old) posts.
What I've also noticed is that the most advanced guys seem to be the ones that are everywhere on the forums, taking in as much information as they can and interacting as much as possible.
I may have to make it a goal. (once I get a laptop or something cause damnnnn my eyes hurt)

Personally, I wouldn't worry too much about being active on the forum, especially if it is affecting your eyes, and instead direct that excellent energy I see into practical activity in the field, which is where the difference is really made.

The forum is a marvelous resource, and I agree we feel closely bonded as a community, but I for example did over two full months of cold approaching before ever registering here as a member and making my first post. I'm sure others will tell a similar story.

I admit I have been fairly chatty here myself, but that is partly because of my learning style and the fact that I need verbal underpinning of what I absorb from practical activity, in order to convince myself of its truth. Others are generally much better at learning intuitively.

I've been down in the dumps and a little lazy to go out after that last FU report. Maybe going out and cold approaching is just what I need right now.

It's okay to feel down, it happens. We've all been there and I'd say don't worry too much about failure, look at it in a positive light and think about how far you've come since you've started this journey.

Sometimes cold approaching and going out will make you feel much, MUCH better, as you meet more new girls and forget about the FU. I'd say go for it.

I've surprised myself at how many times amazing things have happened right after a disastrous encounter or dramatic failure in my life.

A girl today just texted me in response to asking for grabbing coffee: "On second thought I am not interested. Thank you. Be well." Sucks to hear things like this but keep at it man, you never know....

Thanks for the encouragement Ozzo. This was awhile ago and I'm no longer "down in the dumps". It really only lasted for the rest of that week. I realized how far I've gotten and I was amazed because my past self would look at me now and would be absolutely amazed at who I am now.

Funny you say that Wes I literally had the same realization a couple days ago. I don't really get to down in the dumps these days but my ego still tries to catch me off guard and belittle me and try and make me feel like a sucker. Then I looked back on the past year and was like "wow I've kissed more girls in one year than I have in my entire life!". It feels good when you have proof to show your ego and be like "hey look you're just talking shit to make me feel bad, I have proof that I'm not this shitty person you're trying to make me out to be!".

I write during my work breaks or at night. I try to answer posts that i have personal experience in if not i let the more advanced boys handle it. If there's nothing i can contribute i get off the air lol.

If your iPad is jailbroken, give f.lux a shot: http://justgetflux.com/ios.html. It warms the screen color after the sun is set, and the difference to your eyes is absurd. If I turn it off after using it for a couple of hours, my eyes scream like crazy.
