In the article "9 Ways to Answer “What Do You Do” Without Saying What You Do" Hector talks about how when asked "How are you?" answering "Good, how are you?" back seemed a useless response, but he doesn't say how he go about replying it now, at least in that article.
It is something I been wondering for a while because I definitely find it a question that doesn't lead anywhere in most cases. So do you guys have a method or rough guideline for answering such a seemingly simple pleasantry? How can one greet charmingly (because I believe is mostly a greeting no?). How can one reply interestingly and maybe take it to a longer conversation (with anyone, but mainly a woman)?
Small talk is supposed to be easy, yet I also find it the most complicated cause it happens fast and it's subtle. It makes or breaks first impressions too.
Thank you guys,
Ergon
