How to choose a location?

I am looking for help deciding where to take girls to get drinks. There are articles on how to choose a location for pick up but I cannot find anything on "date location" selection.

This is important because I don't want to over-qualify myself so she sees me as boyfriend material, which could happen if I take her somewhere too nice. At the same time I don't want it to be too cheap either and have her think me a shmuck.

How do you guys decide where to pick? Other then location- that isn't an issue.

Anywhere as long as it is close to your house / sex location.

99% of girls will not think you're a schmuck based on the date's location. Take her somewhere that is simple and encourages conversation. Don't go overboard with the fanciness, it will only place you deeper into the boyfriend candidate zone.

Examples:

- Starbucks
- a Cafe
- a Diner

It doesn't necessarily have to be a restaurant either.

One of my favorite date ideas is inviting a girl over to help me make music, because i'm a producer.

Get her involved in one of your passions, it really creates a lot of intrigue.

Just don't do the mistake I did and sit across each other unless it's ez kinoing her under the table with your feet.

Sit beside each other in a couch or something alike if you're going to chill somewhere contrary the "big" dates where you do ice-skating etc.

I tend to pick places where you can easily talk with a cool and chill environment where you can get slightly intimate before heading for her or your place.
