How to craft text after screw-up

So I recently met this gal, everything went great on the first meetup, escalated to sleeping together, etc. Then exchanged follow-up texts where we both indicated we had a great time, etc. She said she wanted to see me again the next week, etc., etc. This all confirmed what she was saying to me when we were together, so the vibe was very good.

Then a couple days later I was a little too eager, and also in an effort to be humorous I screwed up and she went cold. She's a little pissed, understandably, so I've just took ownership of my screw-up, not a big apology, and then dropped things. Just giving her time to chill for awhile.

After a month passes I'm thinking of giving this one more go and ask if can buy her a drink (all the while with low expectations). It'll either work or it won't, not gonna chase her other than take a flyer on one more go. She's a great gal, so I'd like to make one more attempt. Here's my question - how much more do I say, if anything? Do I just say:

"Hey ---, can I buy you a drink sometime?"

or a little more like ...

"Hey ---, can I buy you a drink sometime? Make a fresh start. No pressure, think it over."

Thoughts anyone?

moonriver,

You'll want to move quickly if she does talk to you, but not quite that quickly. Before you just invite her for a drink, you'll probably want to gain some minimal investment first by getting her to respond:

You: Hey Jenna, how is everything with you?
Her: I'm doing alright. And you?
You: I've been busy, but things are going well :). I know it's been awhile, but I was thinking we should grab a drink and catch up!

It's better to get at least get her to respond first before you directly ask her to grab a drink with you.
