How to handle: 'are we going so soon?'

I read the recent article 'loving tests' and when I read the test, "are we going so soon?", it reminded me of a time about a year ago. This girl and I were flirting all night across multiple venues, and just as we were leaving the bar together, about 3 yards from the door, her 'favorite song' came on and she said that we should stay a little longer. A bit surprised by this, I said sure, we sat down, lost all momentum, and that was the end of it.

How would you handle extraction tests like this?

the best way to handle this situation next time is to develop an understanding of why it happened in the first place.
