Calls & Texts How to introduce a phone call?

Hello everyone,

This week, I decided to add one more tactic to my arsenal: Phone calls. @Chase has been an advocate to them for a very long time, as an effective way to ask a girl out or to build/rebuild comfort when we made a mistake during the courtiship or when the time between two dates is going to be long.

Since lockdown is coming again in my area and meeting girls who agreed to go out with me may take time, I'm implementing phone calls and video calls. I did it twice for now. Problem is I realized that I don't have a very smooth way to introduce the phone call. So I would want to know how you guys do it. Mine for now and I don't like it very much is something along following:

I first ask the girl out on a date, which they accept (even if it's covid or lockdown, as @Seppuku said once, women accept the date and let you figure out the logisitcs to make it happen). Then I text them "Because of the current situation, meeting may be a little bit complicated (or may take time before we can). So how about a quick call in the upcoming days?".

I'am sure there is smoother ways to intrduce a phone call so would love to see yours.

E.g.
"Look, it's been a blast texting with you, but soon I'll have to go.
How about we do a quick phone call to end this conversation on a high note?
Promise my Pee Wee voice won't annoy you "

Pretext Question - Ask her - Are you a texter, or a caller?
She answers - whatever she says, it doesn't matter
Frame announcement - I'm a caller. When are you free?

Later exchanges,

"I need to hear your voice" (this is dirty pool though, cause she might think you want her for more than just her body/looks)
