Hey guys,
I wanted to address a topic I've been thinking of lately. It has to do with figuring out if information is good. At least when it comes to people trying to sell it. A lot of pickup material is all about sales. And because of that it usually falls into two categories.
1.) Mental Masturbation (enablers enabling people to have epiphany orgasms instead of real ones)
2.) Useful Information
There always has to be "new" information so the industry can still make money. But how do you find the useful information that will help you in life? Thats hard cause it takes some experience to be able to shift through the shit. However, it usually comes down to the creator of the content. For that I've figured out one good method for testing to see if someone is just making things up or is talking from tested and true experiences. You want to take his content and compared to either a.) a truth you've discovered on your own or b.) truths talked about from another authority you trust (especially if in another industry or field).
Take for example Chase's article on Effort Aversion:
https://www.girlschase.com/content/effort-aversion-or-why-you-dont-work-hard-and-get-laid
Give the whole article a read. Now compare what is said in other sites in different fields:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nBwfZZvjKo
Check out this travel blogger's (different industry so to speak) take on personal growth (training):
http://tynan.com/comfort
Finally, a family man who is all about being an entrepreneur (again different industry):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kyhXttVakk
Did you notice the similarities in talking about how the minds works, motivation, rewards, comfort, and growth? You have to read and comprehend first to compare! Unfortunately, there (usually) isn't going to be sentences that are verbatim between sources so you can tell if a new source of information is mental masturbation or useful information.
Not that I need to, or am in a position to, verify Chase as a worthy source of information. But that was just an example.
What got me thinking about this was Franco's response on car seduction:
https://boards.girlschase.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1356&p=7262&hilit=+car#p7262
Look at his point 4. The kissing and waiting for her to give the tongue first was something I read about before from a very sexually experience woman.
Nina Hartley's Guid to Total Sex
She is a porn star (an old one that has been around the industry for quite some time) and has a passion for sex and sex education. In one of the chapters she talks about how to seduce (off camera which she points out is MUCH different than on camera). She breaks it down with kissing first, but (very importantly) to not give the girl your tongue (which to her is the same as having a gross cow's tongue down her throat until she is excited) and to wait until she starts to give you hers. Again, two experts in two different industries (though related) that converge to the same thought. It really gives both more credibility in my eyes.
Anyways, just some fat for you guys to chew.
