I recently met a girl online, the first date went pretty well, so we went on a second date together. Afterward the second date, I invited her back home. On the way back she seemed really giddy and into me. However, I was drunk and messed up the escalation. She started to get cold-feet and said she had to go. I felt like her energy levels plummeted dramatically afterwards.
Thinking I give another shot, I invited her out to a third date, to which she flaked by saying she was too hungover from an event. A few days later, I messaged her again, this time with a parting shot text, and she responded by saying that she had to catch a flight on friday but could do thursday.
I responded something to the effect of:
“Sure, lets meet thursday at 9 pm at [some bar]”.
Then, after about a day of silence, she responds back:
“This week is really busy, hopefully I can make it!”
From her text, is seems she is really on the fence about it and from her text it doesn’t seem like she agreed nor disagreed to meeting up. I am really at a loss at what to say here. I’ve made it a rule this is the last time I’ll contact her before writing her off. Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do with a vague text like that? Thanks!
