How to view Valentine's Day?

I've read Chase's post on what to do on Valentine's day if you are in a new relationship, long term or Casual relationship.

I know for casual relationships you want to steer clear in order to not give them hints that your are interested in anything serious.

My question, what is the best tactic if you've hung out with a girl on 1 date? It's definitely not casual, because there is no sex involved yet. It's more of me trying to get to that point...I'm getting some advice from buddies to buy her a small gift...another one said take her out on another day tomorrow (2/14)!?

Right now I'm leaning towards not hitting her up today or tomorrow (2/14)...

Basically, I THINK she likes me, she is dope/ hot, so I'm definitely interested in starting some kind of relationship with her, whether it be casual or even dating.

Note: I don't want to ruin things by seeming like a nice/ needy guy...that's why I want to make sure I handle the situation correctly.

Yeah I have buddies that are very normal thinking vs. 'pick up' community thinking and they give me well meaning advice. Sometimes I know it's probably not the best idea to follow what they say but never the less sometimes it can get confuseing trying to follow advice on GC vs. good friends. For example one friend, said invite her out to dinner on V-day, His reasoning was that girls want to go out for dinner on V-day! It sounds reasonable but I was already leaning towards radio silence haha.

I was thinking just forget about her for today and tomorrow then hit her up on the 15th or 16th to set up a hang out. Actually, on the 15th I'm going to a bar/club, supposedly it's the best day to get frustrated women
