This is a one liner you can say to a girl and it will do a variety of things for you to help you in your interaction with her. In this thread I will give you examples of what it can do for you and argue why it is effective.
This line can lead to situations with women that:
1. Build rapport
2. Qualify the girl
3. Build value
4. Tests compliance
5. Increase your attainability
Building Rapport
Maybe when you first met the girl, you two were bantering and established nicknames for each other. If not, now's the perfect time to do that. Giving a nickname to a girl is a fun and flirty way to build rapport with her. You say to her: "I didn't save your name in my phone." She replies. Then you say: "I'm gonna save your name in my phone as 'That Silly Hipster Girl.'" She'll probably laugh, she's gonna feel good because she's got a special name in your phone, and then she's gonna save your name in her phone as something silly as well. You'll stand out from the other guys she knows and she'll be more comfortable with you.
Qualifying the girl
Alright, so let's say you and the girl have established a connection. In her mind, things are going great. But then you say "I didn't save your name in my phone." You're implying that you haven't decided if you wanna talk/meet with her again. If she's interested in you, she's gonna care that you didn't save your name in your phone yet! You can tell by her reaction. She could say something like, "What!? Why not?" or "Well are you going to?" If she's not interested, she's not gonna care. If she's interested, you say "I'm gonna save your name in my phone now." This shows her that she is good enough for you to continue developing some sort of relationship with.
Testing her compliance
You say "Hey, I think you're a cool girl. Text me. My number is XXX-XXX-XXXX." Getting her to text you right then and there is a form of compliance. Then, you keep talking to her, building rapport, etc. Then you say "I didn't save your name in my phone." Give your phone to her and let her put her name in. That's another compliance test.
Building Value
You guys know that some phones only hold a limited number of contacts right? Well you're not gonna save people's numbers who you don't plan on talking to ever again, right? That's just a waste of time and space, everyone knows that. Are you a number slut? Do you go around saving EVERY person's number you meet in your phone? Or do you only have people you care about in your phone? Personally, I'm the latter. And the girl probably does not have a clue what you're like with numbers. When you say "I didn't save your name in my phone", you imply and give off the impression that you're not a number slut and you take some consideration into whose number actually gets saved into your phone. You're a guy who has standards, and when you use this line with the right tone of voice, and then tell her you're saving it in there (after a pause) it's going to build some value for you.
Look at it this way: If you have a connection with a girl, but you save everyone's number in your phone, the actual act of you saving her name in your phone isn't gonna have much value to her.
Increase your Attainability
Now that you've saved her name in your phone, she can be more sure that she's gonna talk to you again and most likely see you again. You're more attainable now!
What do you guys think about all this? Have you used this line before? Do you think this is an effective line? Please let me know if there are any flaws in this post.
