I lied to a girl about enrolling a college

I am working in restaurant as a waiter, and I met girl that I was going in middle school before 5 years. I'm 21 now. She was with her father and I was their waiter. She asked me do I study and I told her that I finished some course in IT in private school, which I did.
But problem is that I lied to her that I will enroll this year at private college in web design ( next month college starts) .
I lied cause I wanted to impress her father and I thought that my job as waiter and learning web
design on my own wasnt impresivne.
Now we will go on first date and I dont know how to get out of that lie.

"Yeah I enrolled but I'm still debating whether I'll actually go. Got a few other plans that seem like much better alternatives. Not saying college isnt worth it, don't get me wrong. I think it can be pretty cool. But yeah, gotta make a well calculated decision there. The last thing I wanna do is rush to college just because everyone is doing it. If I'm gonna do anything, it's gotta be done mindfully, you know? With FULL awareness."
