When introducing a possible day2, what do you think about a strong sentence like "I wanna see you again" rather than something more PC correct and common?

Could it sound too strong and bossy more often than it would sound sexy and mannish?

A couple months ago I told a girl I met in the street "I'd really like to see you again", looking deep into her eyes with sincerity. I hadn't planned it to come out that way, I said it spontaneously. She agreed to the date and it actually went ahead. So I think it's effective if delivered correctly, yes.

There's a coda in this case though. Initially the date went swimmingly and we built a strong connection. But in the last few minutes I screwed up badly and she never spoke to me nor returned my calls again. I don't think that is relevant to your question though! :)

Interesting.

In the specific, though, “I’d like to..” is the (much) softer version of “I wanna.. “, the risk of coming off too strong is quite smaller in the softer version.
