I'm thinking of starting a Youtube Channel. Seeking wisdom/thoughts!

What's up you rad guys!

I've been inspired recently to create a youtube channel and was wondering if any of you personally know the business of Youtube and could offer some wisdom to the grind?

I just learned that anyone that gets even a teenie bit popular on youtube has the option to make $$ and I don't see any reason not to give it a crack.

I plan to make a motivation channel featuring interviews with inspired people, rants on the truth behind living in mediocrity, and infield footage of motivating shit (i.e. approaching in hard situations, social experiments, people/myself doing hardcore challenges in any arena of life).

Basically the main goal of the channel would be to inspire those sitting on the couch with cheeto dust on their face and cum crust on their laptop keyboard to step it up and make a the decision to take responsibility for their lives. To come to the conclusion that they suck shit in life and get them pissed off enough to do something about it, whilst also having a lot of fun in the video's in general.

I'm sure one of you out there either has/had a youtube channel, for money, at one point or another.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, concerns, comments!

If you want money and decide to do PUA, you need to have some quality shit. Something different than Simplepickup, RSD or something else.

If I do this it's not going to be a PUA channel but an overall Motivation channel to inspire people to get up, go out, and get something.

All the motivation stuff I see on youtube for the most part is those motivational video's with intense stuff and the guy talking melodramatically in the background.

There are a lot of channels that are motivating to watch but they mostly cater to a subgroup of people (i.e. PUA, Bodybuilding, Business Building, etc). I would still cater to a subgroup of people it would just be a broader subgroup hopefully.

I have an idea. Start with Girlschase first. Use youtube, Post short min videos on the motivational stuff you do, here. SO you get response from Girlschase people first. Then you can ask your friends, and also get comments from the web.

Getting notes from different sources, and also look on "mycomeup" on youtube. There's a lot of motivational stuff going around. The thing that caught and tangled me to Girlschase was detail coupled with psychology, the "why" factor".

Most motivational stuff out there are for emotions. You can utilize this since most people are going into the industry, making books just to make money. I sound like a "spoil market" but it has become obvious so it doesn't matter. You can see books everywhere. Suddenly everyone becomes a guru. It can be bad thing and good thing but i think it is what you give for money in the end.

Mr. Rob, motivation is too broad... you need a subgroup (niche) to target your motivational messages to (college graduates or business owners for an example). They need to know what you are motivating them to do... that is why I would advise you focus on a subgroup (niche).

I don't have familiarity or past experience with youtube but have thought of maybe trying making videos out down the road for fun (for speaking or fitness most likely)...

I think if you have a lot to say on content you care about, deeply believe in and are convinced that other people would care to hear what you have to say (a target audience as Tayo mentions^) then you might be working towards something solid in the coming future (provided you put in your work for the technical/grind side of the project as well).

I wish you all the best man, and if you put in the same hard/smart work you've put with game into your channel, bet you could soon learn the ins and outs of it and gain a strong viewership!

Yeah good idea Zac I'll definitely let you guys know when I get some stuff together and edit it. I still need to look into editing software and get a more solid gameplan for success as Gem notes.

Noted, I do have subgroup however I need to put a pencil down to it and outline exactly what that is. Thanks for your input.

A youtube channel is a great idea for anyone looking to market a business, product or just looking to help people on a "worldwide" scale. It takes a lot of time to create and handle, especially if you would like to put out quality content (e.g., video quality, audio quality). In addition, some skills in video editing are pretty much essential. It can be a pain in the ass to create some videos sometimes. A few good software's would be any of the adobe video editing programs programs from creative clouud. Also, your going to need a good camera and lighting to make your videos. I've had some experience with this, and I am still somewhat working on it but I got stalled big time on my youtube channel due to school and other commitments. I was able to make an introduction video and put up. I made a few videos as well but the quality wasn't good enough for me to post them on youtube. I'm going to need to invest in a new camera in the future sometime, but that may not be for another year. In addition, you can monetize your videos with google adense, if you become a partner with google (which I am). I have google adsense up on my website, and I made a few bucks (enough to cover server costs and that stuff). But my youtube channel is more of a long term project in the making. This is just some of my experience from youtube and what not.

I'd say rock on, dude! The broadest category of someone in the community (or any skill development that involves grinding) is someone who is focused most on the time they put into learning a skill, rather than focusing on correct technique. You see it in pickup, in sales, in the gym.

These people are perpetually searching for ways to motivate themselves through their own mental resistance.

Hi! Starting a channel on YouTube is relatively easy. You just need to have a Google Account and connect it to create a YouTube channel. You can then start uploading your videos. In order to increase the chances of going your video viral, you may want to start incorporating popular YouTube video ideas like timelapse, unboxing, funny videos, DIY videos, etc. I have written a comprehensive guide about it, you can check it out if you want.
