Hey guys,

So judging by my current situation, I'm not going to have a car anytime soon. I was wondering what kind of effect that has on your social life, social standing, and dates in general. Will this cause for some trouble down the road? I've had women previously screen me to see off I had a vehicle. Is there a socially suave way of answering this? I know for dates if I plan on bringing the girl home I can plan for the date to be near my house(I actually have a lot of food and shops near my place).

What I'm basically asking is: does not having a car put me at a disadvantage, as a sexy man looking for a mate and as a man trying to get relatively high on the social ladder?

Hey Jake. I haven't had too much experience in general, but I know not having a car definitely makes things a bit more tricky for me. I'm pretty young and live in the suburbs (with most of the town's attractions being a good 30 minute walk), so it makes things a little difficult getting around. Having places near your house is always good, so make sure you are pretty close to walking distance from home. You could also try asking them to come over to do something (movie, dinner, etc) instead of meeting somewhere else if you know them well enough. I don't know specifically how to answer that question though, but it'd be best if you don't make it seem like a big deal. If you live in the city, you could always take a taxi home if you are too far from home or don't want to walk (but I've never done this). Maybe someone with more experience can help answer, but I feel like it's something that will only get in your way if you let it get in the way and don't try to work around it.

Hey Pato,

A little insight is better than none at all. Thinking about it now, if might help things along a bit faster, burg most of these questions get asked by superficial teenage girls who don't have much social experience in the first place. Thanks for the advice man.

It depends on the town you live in partially; for instance an area with lots of public transportation there would be little to no problem (ex: cities, areas near them, etc)
