So I've been watching a lot of these Ray Lewis inspirational speeches recently and I must say, they help get you pumped up. If you apply what he has to say into getting better and improving yourself, you can move mountains. This is only one of many by him, but one of my favorites. You have to be pissed off for greatness, as the great Ray Lewis says.

Hey Evan,

I'm a huge NFL fan, so I definitely dig this Ray Lewis speech! He's definitely one hell of a motivational speaker. I used to be a competitive athlete myself, so I know what a quick boost of confidence before a big moment can do for an individual. It makes a world of difference! And he's right... you need to be pissed off with your current state of being to achieve a higher level of success. Well said.

Maybe I'll give a "Ray Lewis speech" a shot before I go out to the bars next time... ;)

That was pretty awesome!

"Wins and losses come a dime a dozen, but effort...nobody can judge effort"

The whole thing was really inspiring. I like how he started it too, what if tomorrow wasn't promised? Cause I have always said that people assume all the time, they assume that there is going to be a tomorrow, and that...my friends...is the worst assumption of them all.

Just my two cents, and in no way am I trying to discredit anyone but I have never believed in all these instant confidence videos/talks etc. For sure listening to certain speeches, videos, even songs can get you PUMPED and MOMENTARILY motivated, but not confident imo. I believe confidence is conditioned over time via doing new things, challenging yourself, achieving goals, in essence, moving forward.

I think too many people took towards these instant confidence programs etc as a way out of hard work.

If this doesn't get you pumped up/focused, maybe this will

I've been reading into binaural beats for a few days now and there is research proven that it helps release certain "feel good" hormones in the brain. Given that it taps directly into you subconscious, this is a good way to fix your vibe/increase the X-factor

Hey Nova,

You bring up a good point. Videos like this should definitely not be used as a long-term substitute for confidence. If someone thinks that inspirational videos will give him the confidence necessary to succeed with women, then he has another thing coming!

That being said, I think these videos can help inspire confidence. By that, I mean that one can use a video like this just to get himself momentarily pumped up enough to possibly make that approach that he otherwise may not have been in the right "mindset" to make. If the approach is made and he has some success, then THAT success can lead to an increase in confidence.

So instead of seeing "inspirational videos" like this as a replacement for confidence, view them more as a little "push" to put yourself in a position to gain more confidence. Any motivation you can use to put yourself in a position to learn and succeed is a good tactic for building confidence.

It is interesting that you should bring up instant confidence, as it is something that is ridiculously fucking easy to produce. Hell, unless this is only the way it works in my head (which is doubtful), the front door to Instant Confidence is decorated with two pretty little words:

"stop thinking"

now ignore what I just said, and think about this: The only thing you will ever truly have in this life is the present. I cannot emphasize that enough. Now, here is the silly paradoxical nautre of wanting something like confidence! The second you acknowledge that you want it, there is no need to waste a moment longer continuing to want it. At that point you just drop the thought altogether and embody confidence. Every moment after the recognition that you spend wanting that confidence, is a moment where you were not confident—the exact opposite of what wanting confidence is supposed to bring you in the first place. That sure sounds counter-friggin-productive to me.

Instant Confidence done blazingly simple, though I'm sure I've gatted way away from the reason Evan shared the video.

As someone who has had motivational problems in the past.. I've got to say.. confidence is definitely not something that is trained for, it's simply the reward.

Motivation is also similar, and it's not exactly the function that drives us. Passion and obsession drive us, motivation is the end result.

This post is right on the money. A large facet of confidence stems from being able to take action almost on instinct/impulse. I tend to be one of those guys that plays out doomsday scenarios in his head when approaching new things. It has been dying down over the last couple of months but I believe that being present is a large part of confidence and also in pickup. That's why its important to stress that your past with women doesn't matter because a lot of guys who are new to this don't understand that.

I also love Ray Lewis as well.
