That lady looks like she's at least 40 years old. [sarcasm]I'm sure she knows everything there is to know about dating in today's day and age...[/sarcasm]

In all seriousness, I didn't read the article, but I know from my experience as a man bedding beautiful, intelligent women that phone calls (at least initiated on your part before you've slept with her) are usually pointless. The one exception might be if you are using online dating, but even then I don't usually do phone calls unless she suggests that she wants to talk to me.

Good texting with proper grammar and conveyance of emotion is all you need. (Hint: "EMOTI-cons" help convey emotions rather well) ;)

Hey Franco: so in all seriousness, given I met an "Alpha Female" yesterday (powerful sexy skirt-suit wearing 40-something banker), went direct, asked her out, she seemed pretty cool with it, gave me her business card which only has her office line (not cell) and email, I'd go for her fixed-line voice, right? Not email? Thanks! -Marty

Yeah, I would go phone call here first. E-mail is a bit too impersonal to start out, although it can be used later if necessary.
