Yo,
I currently have 3 internships, and 2 research labs that I'm in. I'm dropping one research lab because it's mostly irrelevant to my path, and one of the internships is about to turn into a part time job.
I'm busy as fuck, and during the school year barely sleep. Juggling internships, studying, exercising, and having a social life is tough. Because of this I'm considering that sticking to one thing, and doing the fuck out of it, might be another option.
Graduate school is my next milestone, and I need to have hella out-of-classroom experience to make up for my sub par GPA.
For those who have gone to graduate school or those who have been hired (or have been the one hiring applicants) to jobs that expected internships / research labs, what might be more impressive on a resume? To have many areas of involvement, or to be really damn good in one area?
Specifically,
Internship 1 - Facilitating group counseling for drug addicts
Internship 2 - Researching the effectiveness of therapy for a target population (IDD)
Internship 3 - Behavioral Specialist for a corrections facility (about to be a part-time job)
Research Lab 1 - Marketing RA (about to quit)
Research Lab 2 - Traumatic Brain Injury RA
All of this can be done with great organization skills, which, I don't really have. Haha, minor note. Any advice on organization would be appreciated as well.
What do you dudes think? Obviously, my decision to make. I thought that perhaps some professionals or students on here may have insight into the optimal resume or maximizing how much one stands out in a pool of applicants.
