Is it wrong to get dating advice from women? I asked a female coworker what she thought of this opener “Hi, I thought you were cute and I wanted to come meet you. I’m Ocantu.” She said it was a little strong. Just a simple “how you doing” is ok she said.

You just need to filter their advice.

They aren't necessarily WRONG about everything, afterall, they ARE women.

It's come up a few times in these circles and there is some truth that taking advice from women can be damaging. The reason is that women will often not tell you to "move fast" or "move with intention".
They'll often tell you the generic advice like "Just be nice and be yourself". But then guys hear that advice from a woman then later in the night see her chatting to the "bad boy" and get disillusioned.

It just comes back to what "being yourself" means. The "bad boy" is being himself, but he isn't being needy and overly nice which doesn't spark any attraction in the girl.

Asking a girl (or anyone really) if that opening line is good, during the day they'll likely tell you it's full on. However in the right environment and delivered with enough confidence, it can work quite well.

You CAN take some advice from women, guys in these circles sometimes write women off as idiotic and clueless, they DO infact know what they like but you need to interprete what they are saying.
