I just joined in the forums so hello everyone. I play the violin and been wandering for a while. Would it be wise to play my violin at school in front of everyone? On one hand it would increase my social status; on the other, the girls might get less interested because they already know that I play it. Kind of double-edge here. One month from now on I will learn to play the midi Keyboard to create beats for a rapper friend of mine who invited me to his group. Same question<<<<<
As a matter of fact, is it good or bad to expose your musical prowess and physical ones such as...breaking a brick with a punch during Physical Education( my kung-fu hehe :)).

Well im a part musician myself and i can tell you it all depends on how you use it and what you expect of it. Regarding seduction consider it a bonus to what you may already have as resources with girls, musical prowes can help you or set you back even more.

For example:

The fun guy who knows a lot of songs or the really skilled guy who plays, while girls are amazed by you another guy who knows what he is doing takes that emotional state you generated and take the girls home while you keep showing off being admired but with no sex.

On the other hand if you are a sexually atractive guy and work on your stage presence and your expressivenes women will notice you and will desire you, that has nothing to do with your musical skill but with how being on stage expressing yourself makes you really attractive to most women. I remember a couple of times playing in a low key rock band and had more than once girls telling someone they wanted to meet me, it happens but it wont happen if you already arent able to seduce them without the instrument.

Other example, you just sit under a tree and play for fun or for you own enjoyment, if a girl comes by she is really interested.

Whatever you do dont try to impress girls by doing this, what really works is when girls notice you are having a connection with your instrument and yourself and they will want to be part of it and you cant fake that.

I am a musician as well and I think R.A.D. hit it on the head.

I do want to say that the perks of being in a rock band are real ;)

You should play in front of your school but not for the girls, do it for the experience. Playing a stage is a very important part of being a musician! It will build your confidence as well.

What is attractive is the notion that you are doing something with your life. Women should be at most second in your priorities.

Go kill em on stage with that violin man!
