Is there correlation between those you are attracted to and your mother?

I rarely experience attraction like the one I did today. I didn't notice at first, but after some time it hit me for good. I couldn't help but check her out when I had the chance. She was dressed average with no (or unnoticeable) makeup, but her posture seemed so innoncent and feminine. It was alluring and fascinating to me. Who was she? And why were we not married already?! I went as far as to think about how my last time would be fitting for her haha! Haven't had thoughts like that for a while! And I thought I was being silly because her posture and vibe reminded me of my mother.

And I'm not even embarrased by it. Attraction is attraction. But I'd like to know if there could be some correlations to those you get attracted to and your own mother?

According to freud every child has sexual feelings towards their parent of opposite sex and sometimes this continious after puberty (as far as I know, not an expert or anything).
