Is there such a thing as a girly car?

Á 'girly' car, eg hatchback, bubble car / suv, a pink car, should that be avoided? This is not about buying a brand name or really expensive car its more simply just a question about type of car eg hatchback/bubble is girly, sedan/pickup truck is manly that type of thing.

You would not walk around town in a skirt/dress and try and approach women, so why would you drive a hatchback/bubble car bubble suv? That could be a bad analogy because of xyz. Maybe someone else could fill in the xyz?

Could it affect you subconsciously eg driving a girly car and then lower testosterone? Could it affect you socially eg he drives a girly car, but then most people don't care that much or wouldn't rip on you for it or would they? I could also be overthinking it. Recently had a car written off so am needing to buy another vehicle.

Rain-

Well, like anything.

Some guys can prance around town in a Hello Kitty t-shirt and it's all good. People will laugh at them but they won't care. They'll go hit on girls anyway and get laid. If you've got the balls (or the nonchalance) for it, you could certainly do this with a little hatchback too. Like this:

But on the other hand, if you'd rather not deal with that, then just get a car that isn't girly.

Get a used luxury car maybe. Same price or cheaper than a new hatchback, but looks way better, and even more important... the comfort and the handling. Much better.

Chase, you had that article on how material goods don't make a girl wet if you display a boring upper-middle class status while conspicuous consumption like the uber-rich does make a girl wet. It's unlikely OP can afford a lamborghini, bugatti, stuff like that so this is one thing to be wary of. If I were OP, I'd get a used generic somewhat-masculine car that gets you from point A to point B and invest that extra money or spend it on improving other fundamentals.

I'm a little more judgemental on cars so to say whatever you drive does not make the man is simply not true. Cars the girls drive that I get involved with are pretty consistent with people classify as girly. Volkswagon Jettas, Saturns. No girl I've been with drives a Chevy Suburban or a Ford Mustang and I've been with some tall drinks of water who would need the size but yet they drove a hatchback.

Some guys make you wonder if they are wearing their insecurity on their sleeve with the Ford F350 crew cab with the 6-foot bed and huge lifts or that brand new BMW. I'm not driving anything like that. Like uForia said, a pickup truck, the aforementioned Mustang or a Jeep is good enough to scream hey I'm a man yet I'm not trying too hard to impress you.

Somehow I agree with headsup38... though I'm thinking about getting a big truck, not to impress women but because I really like it...

It's all relative, chose a car that fits your personality ... I've seen hot girls in cheap cars such as beaten Civic with wheels that are more expensive than the car itself, but usually when you talk classy girl you'll probably see them in classy cars as well - Mercedes, BMW, Infinity,...

If you are a redneck or hard nose, driving a loud truck with big wheels will probably fit you better than hybrid Toyota Prius. If you are a scientist who is concerned about environment, Prius may not be a bad option, but you would probably look awkward in huge truck that has balls attached to it...

Probably, in general, avoid any extremities such as size or weird colors. If you are on budged, see if you can get some mid size sedan. If you have/make more money, get something better...
