getting with a girl - girl is interested, responds neutral positively to flirting, then shuts off.
details:
girl in my class i'm trying to hook. i'm not new to the game.
-interested in her. i talk and meet everybody in class and float around like a social butterfly
-meet cool new people, start talking to her a bit on the second day of class
-on day 3 i get her number and say i'll join her for lunch before class sometime
-that same day i invite her to open mic via text since i'll be singing but she rejects me. i recover by saying cockily she'd probably fall for me if she came so it's probably a good thing she isn't coming in japanese since she speaks it
-takes her 30 minutes to respond, but she says lol why do you speak japanese well
-i take this as a positive since she didn't necessarily completely deflect my text
-we text back and forth maybe 5 more times throughout the night, me taking my time answering her texts, she tends to reply within minutes
-text convo ends with me (bad, i know)
-wait 3 days, then send the following
"hey cutie pie, you remember the details for the hw?"
-no response, it's been 24 hours
our facial aesthetics are around the same caliber, she's definitely within my league. i'm a great conversationalist (something i try to show by socializing with as many people as i can on the first days of class) and funny guy so i'm not awkward either. it could be that i'm pressing too hard and she's just intimidated by my forward nature and "aggressive" flirting- she's japanese and came to america 2 years ago. from my understanding asian girls are a bit more timid around this kind of thing and she might think i'm some rowdy american or something (i'm asian tho)
all i really need is to go out to lunch or coffee with this chick and she'll probably get more interested, but not sure how to read a flat out ignored response. i can only connect it to my flirting. i already know that i'm an above average attractive guy, so she might just be intimidated. how should i approach her from this point on? i already know ignoring back is a socially retarded move. i plan to socialize with other classmates and then approach her briefly at break, and try to break conversation on a high note and leave, making her want more.
