Jeet's Messaging App + Contest for New Users

Hey folks,

Jeet, one of our original members on the boards here and a pretty good guy all around, has been working on building smart phone apps lately, and asked if he could share the contest he's running for his new app with the boards.

I recently had another (dating magazine) app ask about offering a few months' subscription free to our members after I wrote a quick piece of content for them, and because I don't want the boards to start looking like some kind of app-announcement free-for-all (we get a fair few people writing in about their various dating / pickup / etc. apps, asking if we want to partner up or review them or post a link to them on GC), I discussed this with Franco and we agreed it's best that if we're going to approve any "app announcements" or app deals, it's only going to be special cases where we know the member well or there's a specific reason we're sharing the app, and the post will be made by a moderator (so we don't get randoms coming on here, creating accounts, and then posting their dating app announcements).

Since Jeet's one of the crew, I'm fine with him having a post up on here about his app - so here it is:

There has been a debate amongst some fellas lately: do social real life skills translate successfully to online dating/conversations? If so, how?

To find out, we want to run a little bit of an experiment. But even better, we want to raise the stakes by making it a contest. To do this, we will be doing it through a specific app: Quest - Messaging for Real People which was released approximately two weeks ago for iOS (iOS only for now) and it currently has around 180 users. The app is pretty much a merge of Tinder with Snapchat. You can meet people that live nearby, by messaging them and sending them pictures and videos that disappear after being viewed.

The rules of the contest are pretty simple:

1)You must download the app and create an account
2) You must invite at least 3 girls to register and use the app.
3) You must provide the nicknames of the people you have invited to the app.
4) We might confirm with one of your referrals to check they are who they claim to be.
5) First user to do all the previous one and number close through the app (must provide proof) with someone they met through the app, will get $50.
6) First user to do all the above, except for number 5, and get a date thanks to the app (must provide proof) with someone they meant through the app, will get $250.
