hi everyone,
ive been experimenting with a diaphragmatic breathing exercise that overrides your nervous system and gets you feeling calm super fast.
its really simple to do. and takes effect in about 5-10 minutes. perfect for any time you are feeling anxious.
heres how it goes:
1. breathe deeply into your belly 10 times
2. breathe out more slowly than you breathe in (for example, 5 seconds in and 7 seconds out)
3. repeat as many times as necessary
i try to do it minimum 4 times a day regardless if im feeling anxious or not. the calming effect is enhanced when paired with meditation.
