I met a gorgeous blonde at a singles event. We stayed in contact for a while, and then met up for a date. We had a great day on the beach. She borrowed a book from me. We kissed goodbye.
I haven't heard from her since then. I've sent three short messages but no response.
Now I want to send another message, saying basically this:
1: I want my book back (it's autographed).
2: Tomorrow night I'll be at a singles event at the same place where I met her, close to her home town.
Any advice on what to write and how to trigger a response?

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

You can be direct about how important the book is. Leave your relationship status out of the text.

..."it was given to me by a dear friend." , "It has sentimental value", "I'd like to meet you in person to get it back."

You could potentially discuss whether you will go on another date when you meet in person but that has to be within the right context of course.

Update: This time she replied. She offered to return the book by mail. I replied with my address and expect to receive it soon. In my last text I'll say goodbye.
End of story, time to move on.

Hey man its good you're getting your book back. You probably shouldn't be letting girls borrow things from you right off the bat - its just too much investment from you initially. Also when you offered to see he again at another singles event you made a couple of mistakes : the purpose of a singles event is to meet girls - you've already met the girl you just need to lead get her on a date now. Also you said that the event was CLOSER to her than you which again is you investing too much.

Something else you can try which chase wrote an article on recently that I've had some success with so far is alternating between calling and texting. So initially text her , but if you somehow botch the initial text interaction wait 2 days then call her. Just make sure you don't follow up to early or too late brush up on the texting articles for info on that.
