There is a cute girl that works at the gas station I use. Lately I have been flirting with her and getting to know her. I found out that she is a gymnastics coach at a University several hundred miles away. Her last day at work is tomorrow. She has told me she will be back for Thanksgiving break. Should I hit her up for her number tomorrow or should I wait until she is back in town in November?

duh, yes...

If she says no she will have three months to regret it.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

I dunno if this is too late , but unless you're really good at text game (which I'm not) , I'd say just wait till she gets back then get number then move from there. Pickup is about momentum , if get you her number and then you just text her every now and then while she is gone if feels too orbity and you just become that guy she gets attention from and investing in her without giving anything back. Getting her number is pointless and doesn't prepare you for future steps like setting up a meet because she is gone for 3 months you actually wont see her. You'll be wasting mental energy on a girl you can't move forward with , focus on the ones you can. Better for her to remember you as the guy she doesn't know very well that she flirted with at work when she gets back - THEN you go hey you're back already , let's go for drinks ;).

I decided not to get her number. I didn't want to risk being orbity as you said. When I was leaving she again told me she'd be back at Thanksgiving. I just said goodbye. I felt kinda bad that I didn't give her any indication where things were headed. I guess we'll see in 3 months.
