Today I was on Uber, and I chatted with the driver a little bit. He was a contractor.
Then after he knew what I did for a living, he said:
"Give me your phone number. I can find customers for you."
Why did he do that?
I thought from his perspective. Assume he would really find customers for me. Then when I decide to buy a house, probably I'll contact him first. A house is a big purchase, and he would make a lot of money.
So keeping relationship is very important. It would have unexpected rewards.
