So guys, it's probably pretty obvious, but I haven't been approaching much, extremely little. I approached 1 girl last week.
I've been getting dates and numbers, but there's a problem on dates, and it might just be mental.
See, I'm 26. When I graduated college, I lived in an apartment by myself for a year, but then my Dad got laid-off during the economic downturn, and I've been living with them to help pay for mortgage and crap.
Unfortunately, in the states, every girl I take on a date, asks this right off the bat: "So where do you live?" or something about living area. I don't like to lie usually, so I try and just play it off really casual, "Well, I've been helping my parents out financially, so I've been staying with them for a while." Then I move on to the next topic quickly. Again, it may just be mental, but I feel like this de-values me as both a boyfriend and as a lover. It's a "loser test" that every girl gets out of the way quickly. I get them on the date, and I may even get a 2nd date, but I'm having difficulty pulling them to a 3rd date or pushing to go back to their place (for potential sex) during the 1st/2nd date because I think that I failed this "loser test."
Well, anyway, I can move out again, but I want to find a good place, so it may be a month or two. I think I'm only going to be approaching maybe 1 girl a week until I move out again haha.
It's just the way of the society. In other cultures, it's normal for guys to stay home and help parents, but I find it difficult here in the states at 26. I know there is some victim mentality here, etc., etc. But, there's probably going to be 0 FRs from me for a little bit until I move out
Or, I may say fuck it and approach a bunch of girls one week.
My life is always changing; at one point, I was planning on moving out-of-state (and wrote a post on it), and now, I'm planning on staying here haha, so nothing is set in stone. I just know that I want to be living on my own.
Anyone have experience with this?
